Terms of Service
1. What Zingu Is
Zingu is a read-only API discovery platform. It provides health statistics, latency data, and structured metadata for publicly available APIs. Zingu does not host or proxy the APIs it catalogs.
2. Use of the Service
You may use Zingu to browse, search, and query the API catalog for personal or commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt to modify, disrupt, or overload the service
- Scrape the platform at a rate exceeding the published rate limits
- Misrepresent your identity when claiming an API listing
3. API Keys
API keys are issued per email address. Keys may be revoked at any time if they are used in violation of these terms. Free-tier keys are rate-limited to 50 requests per hour; standard-tier keys to 1,000 requests per hour.
4. No Warranty
The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. API metadata, health data, and probe results reflect automated observations and may not be accurate or current. Zingu is not responsible for the availability or behavior of third-party APIs listed in the catalog.
5. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

What We Do NOT Collect
- Full (untruncated) IP addresses
- Third-party tracking or analytics scripts
- Advertising identifiers
- Browsing behavior across other sites
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. The platform is hosted on a dedicated server (Hetzner, Germany). No data is transferred outside the EU/EEA.
Your Rights (GDPR)
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Rectification — correct inaccurate data
- Erasure — request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restriction — limit how we process your data
- Portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format
- Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest

Data Breach Notification
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority within 72 hours as required by GDPR Art. 33.
